About Naturopathy

At Health Is Living LLC, our Naturopath adheres to the Principles of Naturopathy

The Healing Power of Nature/ (Vis Medicatrix Naturae)
There is an inherent self-healing process in our bodies that is devised by divine intelligence. As a naturopath, I act to not only identify, but also to help you remove your personal barriers to optimal health and facilitate this inherent self-healing process.

Identify and Treat the Causes (Tolle Causam)
As a naturopath, I assist in the identification and removal of your underlying causes of illness rather than merely suppressing or treating symptoms.

First Do No Harm (Primum Non Nocere)
I follow this principle by:
-Using therapies that reduce the risk of harmful side effects.
-Avoiding as much as possible the suppression of symptoms that may be harmful to your health.

 Doctor as Teacher (Docere)
As I educate you in ways to better improve your health, I will also motivate in you the importance of taking responsibility for your own health.

Treat the Whole Person
Your individuality is to be respected and taken into account during your therapy. Each person is defined by physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental, social, and other factors. Pursuit of spiritual health is encouraged in all individuals.

Prevention
I will stress the significance of disease prevention. This is ascertained by assessing your personal risk factors, heredity and susceptibility to disease. As partners, we will make the indicated interventions to prevent illness in your life.
